    Mid Atlantic Fireworks Festival

The 6th Annual M.A.F.F. will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2014. We're returning to the Allens Fresh area of Charlotte Hall, MD ( 10705 Allens Fresh Rd). Members of the River View Grange #348 have generously offered to host us for another year and we're looking to out do ourselves.

After serious consideration, we've decided to no longer hold M.A.F.F. twice a year and will no longer hold an event in November. We know this will sadden some of our fans; however, this change will allow us to focus on a single larger event in April. M.A.F.F. has simply grown too large to be held twice a year - seems we're victims of our own success, and that's not such a bad thing.

Please make plans to join us and tell your friends. This will be our best year ever.

The Mid-Atlantic Fireworks Festival (M.A.F.F.) started in 2008 with the simple idea of holding a large club operated fireworks event in Maryland. Many people told us that we wouldn't be able to put on a hobbyist-oriented fireworks display. Well, we're here to tell you we've proved them wrong. It took a lot of time and effort on the part of a several people to make it happen but, in April 2009 we held the first M.A.F.F. in Southern Maryland. Since then M.A.F.F. was held biannually in April and November through 2012 and beginning in 2013 annually in April.

The calender and this Festival/Show forum are connected so we don't have to copy the same things to the forum and vise versa

DC or Baltimore would work fine but yes DC is the closest. About an hour drive from the airport to Best Western in La Plata, Md.

I believe there were no injuries, safety was grand. I did get stuck in the eye area with a wild rose bush, man that was close. Closed eye saved the day.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the event which was most definitely our biggest and best yet. Yes, there are things which can be done better (working on that already for next year) but overall I think the event is getting better and better each year. I've gotten a lot of phone calls and messages this week telling me how much they enjoyed the event. By far, the most impressive thing to the folks I've talked to is the amount of members working in the field on the displays. They simply cannot believe how many guys/gals give up their "social time" at the event to spend their time working in the fields, at the booths, on the food line, etc. To me, THAT is what makes MAFF special, the people who attend and give it their all to make things happen.

And to you my brother because without the hard work, dedication, blood sweat & tears and all those sleepless nights that you and your family endures, it's that special something you all bring to the table that makes MAFF what it is.

Yea but it was fun though. All I did this time was setup the sound system and I was busy all day and night.
